Living in the hills of Western PA and creating music the Sunflower Spectacle explores classic styles and noise together in fuzzily familiar way. The band is a group of questioners and seekers with an idea of ever evolving exploration. Borrowing from memories of other times and putting together sound of the moment. Their first recordings in early 2008 introduced a holiday version of sad nostalgia, the self-titled album soon followed tracing the band's history and putting together a shimmering rock sound. Their newest album No Fields pulls from the entire spectrum in a musical journey with the pulse of electric longing. The Sunflower Spectacle is part of an area collection of artists called My Idea of Fun. The Sunfower Spectacle are: Chris Kupchella, Derek Gresh, Kevin Horvath, Justin Gyurik and Alan Horvath.
