As a songwriter Marc English came on the music scene in the early 90's with the band Three Walls Down where by the full length 'Building Our House' was produced by Mike Mills of REM and recorded by John Keene and David Barbe of the famed Athens, Ga. music mecca. Just prior to the new millennium Marc went out on his own under the moniker Marc English 800 and has been releasing, independently, his brand of indie singer-songwriter records ever since and sincerely devoting his energy at honing the art of songwriting infused with melody and meaningful lyrics. On Marc's solo material once again he has had the privilege of working with another stellar Recording Engineer and Producer in Rob Gal...a staple and go to person in Atlanta for 30 years. Per the usual Rob Gal is the mastermind behind the recording and production of Marc English 800's latest full length, 'Building Burning Bridges'. With Rob Gal a successful musician as well (see The Coolies, Anne Richmond-Boston, 6X and the Holland Dutch) playing guitar, bass and keys and Vic Stafford (see Donna the Buffalo and Toubab Krewe to name a few) on drums, 'Building Burning Bridges' may very well be Marc English 800's swan song. The theme throughout 'Building Burning Bridges' is a rally cry for the outsiders and the underdogs of society and there is nothing Marc would like more for you to rally behind this record and take a listen...
