Jazz pianist and public school instrumental music teacher James Chwalyk wanted to create something larger than himself, as usual. After enlisting the help of an old friend from his college days (Jeff Little) to play the bass, the older sibling of a student in the district in which he teaches (Dave Fugel) to play the alto saxophone, and a drummer with whom he went to college but hardly ever knew, (Matt Olsson) a new jazz quartet and ring of musical friendship and collaboration was born.
