Grite-Leon (Gree-teh lay-own) is a play on words translated as "demanding a lion to scream". Created by Eric Asturias (singer/composer/manager) and Luis "Andy" Coronado (guitarist/co-manager) in 2006. The main focus of the band is to have a great time. 'No matter what we do if we are not having fun it's not considered the 'Grite-Leon' lifestyle.' The band is a project to soundtrack our lives. The music composed around many different flavors makes it difficult to categorize the band into just one genre. Many influences include but are not limited to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Mars Volta, Deftones, Carlos Santana, and Jimi Hendrix to name a few. Everyone in the band comes from varied musical backgrounds that when blended together creates something unique. Grite-Leon has been best described as a Latin Progressive Rock, however that does not do justice. Grite-Leon is like the theme park of bands. Every song is it's own ride and it's own style. Vince Jackson- keys Mike Luna- drums Ryan Rodrigues- bass Luis "Andy" Coronado- guitar Eric Asturias- vocals, violin.
