Amin Safari was born in Tehran, Iran, and grew up in Sweden, where he started playing the guitar. He obtained his master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Umea as well as a degree in classical music from the Folk University of Sweden. Amin's enthusiasm to compose and perform music led him to form two hard rock bands in Sweden; the " Seventh Sign", and the "Skeleton Crew", as well as an Iranian band called " Atash". The Skeleton Crew released their first album "Mummified" in 1997. Amin became increasingly fascinated by the flamenco music style after he moved to the US, and has composed and performed with local artists in Houston in many different venues.
